One of my closest friends Mel Campbell is an Illinois-based puppeteer and songwriter who launched his own production company, Camphouse Puppets, this past spring. For the launch, he asked me to design a logo for the company with one of his original puppet characters, Gossamer. 

These were the rough drafts I initially presented:

All the artwork was initially drawn in pencil, then transferred over to ProCreate for finalizations and coloring.

This was my first pass at the project, but it felt much too stiff and vectorized to me, so I convinced Mel to let me try a looser, more textured brush for the illustrated portions of the logo.
